Key Executives
Aymeric ARNAUD was appointed SG CIB’s Chief Region Officer for the Middle East, Türkiye/CIS, and Africa (META) in April 2023, in addition to his role as CEO, Societe Generale Dubai International Financial Center, held since 2021. His non-executive mandates include board memberships at Societe Generale Saudi Arabia and at the United Nations Global Compact Network – UAE.
He joined Societe Generale in 2010 and held several positions within the Debt Capital Markets department, where he was last Head of CEEMEA DCM (Central & Eastern Europe, Middle East, Africa). Prior to joining SG, he had spent a couple of years at Citigroup in various credit risk management and debt markets related roles. Over the years, he has been involved in the origination and execution of a host of global financing transactions and financial advisory missions across the CEEMEA region.
Aymeric holds a Master’s degree in Finance from the EDHEC Business School (France) and a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from the University of Paris IX Dauphine (France). Since 2016, he has been a member of the Institut des Hautes Etudes de l’Entreprise, the flagship programme of the think tank l’Institut de l’Entreprise. He is married and has three daughters.
Pierre joined us on 20 May 2019 as Chief Financial Officer, Middle East. He came from Societe Generale Paris where he was a member of the Financial and Strategic planning department, in charge of analysis and modelling of the financial impacts of tax reforms, regulatory projects and organic or external growth operations. He was also a part of monitoring and validating complex transactions carried out by the front office.
He graduated from ESCP Europe Business school with a Master in Management (specialization in Corporate Finance).
Oana Apostol has been Chief Operating Officer of Societe Generale Middle East since 2015. She joined Societe Generale-owned Romanian Development Bank in Bucharest in 2009 as Head of Department in the Projects and Organization Division, where she had the opportunity to contribute or lead a portfolio of transformation projects. In January 2015 she relocated to Dubai as Senior Manager in the COO team.
Oana was previously at Accenture, delivering international projects for banks in Romania, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Bulgaria, Turkey. She graduated from the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest.
