Richad has been Group Chief Regional Officer for Societe Generale in the Middle East since 2013. He was previously Head of Global Capital Markets, overseeing the CEEMEA region for Societe Generale Corporate & Investment Banking.
Richad joined Societe Generale in 1994. Until 2002, he developed expertise in equity capital markets through senior positions covering clients in France, South East Asia and Northern Europe. He joined the bond syndication department in 2003 to head the bank’s private placement activity, which he developed and expanded as a leading platform in various products and geographies, with a particular focus on emerging markets currencies.
Richad holds an MSc in International Finance from HEC. He also holds a degree from the French National Institute of Telecommunications and a Master’s in Management from Paris Dauphine University.
Solen Thomas has been Regional Chief Financial Officer of Societe Generale Middle East since 2015.
Solen began her career at Euronext France, where she held several positions including Head of Marketing for Derivatives Products. After two years at BNP Paribas Investment Banking, she returned to Euronext as Chief Administrative Officer for the IT Division. In 2009 she joined ODDO & Cie., where she was COO for Business Units, and then Head of International Projects for the Securities Services division.
Solen holds a Master degree from Ecole Nationale de la Statistique et de l’Administration Economique in Paris and a Master Degree in Statistics and Economics from the Sorbonne University.
Oana Apostol has been Chief Operating Officer of Societe Generale Middle East since 2015. She joined Societe Generale-owned Romanian Development Bank in Bucharest in 2009 as Head of Department in the Projects and Organization Division, where she had the opportunity to contribute or lead a portfolio of transformation projects. In January 2015 she relocated to Dubai as Senior Manager in the COO team.
Oana was previously at Accenture, delivering international projects for banks in Romania, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Bulgaria, Turkey. She graduated from the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest.
Antoine has been Chief Country Officer and CEO of Societe Generale, Saudi Arabia since 2015. He moved to the Middle East after several years in Central and Eastern Europe, where his two last postings were Group Country Head & CEO of Societe Generale in Serbia and Group Country Head & CEO of Societe Generale in Bulgaria.
Antoine began his banking career with Banque Indosuez in Paris and joined Societe Generale in 1991.
He has held a variety of roles in France and internationally, including a GM position in Lebanon, where he was responsible for creating and managing a franchise focusing on asset financing.
Antoine holds a Master’s degree from Institut de Préparation à l’Administration et la Gestion (IPAG – Paris).
Jean-Marc Maisonnave has been Middle East Business Development Coordinator, Global Markets since 2015. He joined the Middle East bureau as COO, CFO and Head of Business Development in 2014.
Jean-Marc joined Société Générale in 2001 and has held a variety of roles including Equity Analyst, Automotive sector coverage; a member of the CIB Strategy Chief of staff team; Principal Inspector, Structured liabilities business creation.
Prior to joining Societe Generale, Jean-Marc worked as a Junior Equity Broker for B. Herold Ltd in New York, and also worked for Alstom Transportation in New Delhi. He holds a Master’s degree in Economics and a degree in International Affairs.
